Homemade Mossy Halloween Skull Wreath

This Mossy Halloween Skull Wreath is perfect for my older kids looking to advance their decorating game with a bit more sophistication. I love how the moss creates an earthy look, making it feel natural and fitting for this spooky holiday.

Tips to Make This DIY Skull Wreath

How will the skull attach and stay on the wreath?

Using your craft knife or the heated tip of a hot glue gun, poke two holes on the back of the plastic skull. Space them about 2 inches apart, then place the floral wire through the holes, which will later be attached to the wreath.

How does the moss attach to the wreath?

I recommend cutting the moss sheets into small sections at a time, then putting them on your foam wreath form. This can be messy, so I suggest putting something down to catch all of the little pieces that fall off while wrapping it up.

After the wreath is completely covered in moss, it’s time to add succulents to the bottom of the wreath. Take your time deciding where you want them placed. There is no wrong place – create a look that works for you and apply purple moss around those spots.

Fill in any bare-looking spots around the skull and succulents with Spanish moss. Then, attach the dangling Faux Floral  to the bottom of your wreath where you see fit. Now that your Mossy Halloween Skull Wreath is done hang it on the front door and get ready for guests!
