Tips to Make This Glitter Filled Snowman Ornament

  • Make this as a gift for grandparents, mom and dad, aunts and uncles, and even older cousins. It’s more unique than a handprint craft, but still just as cute and personal.
  • Customize by adding a name to the other side of the ornament. Either your child’s name or the name of the gift recipient and the year the ornament was given to them.

How to fill ornaments with glitter?

It’s important to make sure you use enough glitter – and that it sticks! There are a few ways to get the glitter to stick to the inside of the ornament. You can use mod podge or clear glue, or Minwax polycrylic. Get either at the craft or hardware store.

Can kids help with this craft?

Yes! Especially if you use plastic ornaments. If you use glass ornaments, just be careful and make sure there is a stand to hold the ornaments in. Little hands and glass do not mix. Ask me how I know. 😉

Don’t have glitter?

Use tiny Styrofoam balls or even white paint to decorate the inside. The supplies aren’t as important as having fun with this simple winter craft is!

Don’t have vinyl?

Use felt! All of the supplies for this craft can be found at most dollar stores.
