DIY Dollar Tree Santa’s Belt Wreath
This project is super easy, budget-friendly, and adds that classic holiday charm to your décor. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a newbie, we’ll have you feeling like one of Santa’s helpers in no time. Let’s go!
Supplies:
18 inch wire wreath form (Dollar Tree)
Black Fleece Scarf (Dollar Tree)
Scalloped wooden frame with chalk board center (Dollar Tree)
Gold Spray Paint (you could use acrylic paint, I had spray paint so I used that)
Blue Painters tape (to cover the inner section of the frame, you could use paper also)
Hot Glue Gun/ glue sticks
Tips
Here are some helpful tips to make your Santa Belt Wreath even better:
Wrapping – When wrapping the yarn around the wreath form, keep the tension somewhat tight, but not so tight that it isn’t fluffy.
Double-Coat the Frame – For a more vibrant gold finish on the frame, consider applying two coats of spray paint, letting it dry completely between coats. This will give it a more polished look.

DIY Santa Belt Wreath
Create a festive and fun Santa Belt Wreath with this simple DIY project. Using just a few affordable supplies, you can craft a holiday wreath that adds a cheerful, Santa-inspired touch to your home. Perfect for beginners and seasoned crafters alike, this wreath is a great way to decorate for the holiday season without breaking the bank!
Materials
- 18-inch wire wreath form
- Black fleece scarf
- Scalloped wooden frame with chalkboard center
- Gold spray paint
- Blue painter's tape
- Bernat Alize yarn in Crimson
Tools
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun + Glue sticks
Instructions
- Take the end of the yarn and tie it securely around the outer wire of the wreath form. Wrap the yarn around the entire form, keeping it tight to give the wreath a fuller appearance.
- Completely cover the wreath form with the yarn, using the entire bundle.
- Fold the fleece scarf in half lengthwise and lay it across the center of the wreath form. Cut the scarf to measure 24 inches long.
- Cover the center of the frame with paper or tape, then paint the outer section. Let it dry completely.
- Add hot glue to the back of the frame and press it firmly into the center of the fleece scarf to secure it to the fabric.
- Glue one end of the scarf to the back of the wreath, stretch it across the front, and secure the other end with glue on the back of the wreath.
