How to Make This Farmhouse Styled Pumpkin at Home
Let’s get crafting! Below is our written tutorial.
Farmhouse Pumpkin Trays
Materials
- 3 Serving Trays, Dollar Tree
- Waverly White Chalk Paint
- Jute Twine, Dollar Tree
- Raffia, Dollar Tree
- Large Popsicle Stick
Tools
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue
Instructions
- Start by using the Waverly White Chalk Paint and paint each tray with 3 coats. Allow for time to fully dry in between coats so that it fully covers the trays.
- Once all of the trays are dry, place 2 of the trays vertically next to each other with one of the edges overlapping the other tray. Using the hot glue gun, glue the two trays together where they meet.
- Next add a line of glue to the center where the two trays are attached and lay the last tray on top, apply a little pressure to make sure it adheres.
- Add a dab of hot glue to the popsicle stick about 2 inches down and wrap the jute twine around the popsicle stick until you reach just below the curved section of the popsicle stick.
- Once completely wrapped, add a dab of glue at the end and then trim off. I then trimmed the rounded section of the popsicle stick with scissors.
- Next add some hot glue to the popsicle stick and place it on the backside of the trays in the center and apply a little pressure.
- Next cut a piece of raffia to your desired length (I used 2 pieces) and then tie it into a bow.
- Hang your finished pumpkin up on display!
