Homemade Halloween Eyeball Wreath

Over the last couple weeks we have shared a couple different Halloween Wreaths that you can make from Dollar Tree supplies like the Teal Pumpkin Wreath and the Mossy Skull Wreath.

Out of all the wreaths we have shared recently though, this one is my favorite!

Supplies:

  • Pizza Pan
  • Popcorn Bowl (I found a blue translucent one with ridged sides – perfect for an eyeball)
  • Black Felt
  • Floral Wire (I used 14 gage)
  • White Chalk Spray Paint
  • Red Acrylic Paint
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue
  • Craft Glue (like E6000 or JB Weld)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Chalk Pen, optional

Tips for Making a Dollar Tree Halloween Eyeball Wreath

Over the last couple weeks we have seen a lot of people attempting to do crafts using the Dollar Tree pizza pans and running into frustrations with getting paint to stick to them.

Before we even get started on the craft, we are going to share three different methods that will help you avoid this issue.

One of my personal favorites to use when painting pizza pans is Liquid Sandpaper. You should be able to easily find this at any hardware store. To use, simply cover the pizza pan with the liquid sand paper, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then soak/wash it well in soapy water to remove any residue.

Another option would be to use actual sand paper and rough up the pizza pan a bit to get rid of the nonstick film. This works great if you want to put in the elbow grease.

And the last method (and the one we used when creating this wreath) is to use a chalk spray paint. The chalk gives the paint enough grip to allow it to properly adhere to the pizza pan.

Whichever method you choose, remember a sealant will also help your wreath last longer, especially if it is outdoors.
